Donation To MNPD Made In Slain Teen's Name

Posted

A teen has been honored for his courage protecting his family during a violent home invasion.

Earlier in December, 17-year-old Ja'Donte Thompson was shot and killed while shielding his family from gunmen who forced their way into their home.

On Friday, E3 Construction Services donated $15,000 in Ja'Donte's name to the Metro Nashville Police Department. His parents were there for the presentation.

Metro's North Precinct will use the donation to buy ten police patrol bicycles to help improve community policing.
