PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Dolly Parton and Dollywood officials celebrated the opening of Wildwood Grove, an expansion to her famous amusement park, Dollywood.

The $37 million Wildwood Grove features rides and activities for all members of the family. Officials say everything in the Grove was intentionally made for everyone from toddlers all the way to grandparents to do together.

The Grove's centerpiece is an ancient, hollow log that lights up and interacts with guests. Park goers will find four woodland characters in the park, Benjamin Bear, Franklin Frog and butterflies Flit and Flutter.

Dolly made the announcement in a glitzy butterfly suit and was even joined by her friends Flit and Flutter before singing an original song about the Wildwood Grove.

She said the new area of the park was inspired by her daydreams as a child growing up in the mountains.
