Detectives have confirmed the recent death of a 17-year-old was a homicide.
Miles Hunter, of Old Hickory, was critically injured September 11 when he fell from the running board of a pickup truck that had several young men inside. It was traveling out of the Hermitage Walmart parking lot onto Andrew Jackson Parkway.
Hunter died six days later, and an investigation got underway.
Police have now determined his death was a homicide. The truck has been impounded as work on the case continues.
