NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — For some of us, singing karaoke is the closest we'll ever get to country music fame. Now, there's a new camp in Music City that will give you a taste of stardom.

From the moment they arrive in Nashville, campers hit the ground running. It's a three-day, fully immersive experience that takes amateurs and puts them through the musical paces.

Shawntay Wolfe is the Marketing Director for Country Music Fantasy Camp.

"You come in on the first day and you write a song at a writer's retreat in Franklin," she said, "The second day you record a song at a major recording studio in Berry Hill and then on the third day you get to perform that song that you just wrote and recorded at Tootsie's rooftop."

For some, the thought of writing and performing sounds scary, but for others it's the ultimate fantasy.

Wolfe says it's all about songwriting and they have a staff ready to assist.

"Many of them have recorded hit songs for the very top artists in Nashville," she said.

They'll take you to the "tonks," let you explore Music Row and by the end, you'll have your own original song as a souvenir.

"We’re super excited to see what kind of songs come out of this," she said.

Some of the camps are hosted by current artists. They also have shorter experiences, two-hour "Music City Daydream" camps -- created with corporate retreats, family reunions and bachelor/bachelorette parties in mind. parties in mind.
