NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — The NewsChannel 5 drone got a look at the NFL Draft stage being built along the riverfront in downtown Nashville.
The plywood has been laid for the 460-foot long stage.
"What you're seeing on the rooftop is a small portion of the main stage roof; so that'll be going up all week, said Butch Spyridon. "The roof of the stage will actually extend out over Lower Broad, and it's going to continue to grow. It's almost like a Chia Pet. Every day we're out: water it a little bit, and every day it grows a little bit."
Spyridon says the floor of the stage where the Commissioner will stand during the draft will be roughly six feet off the street.
The roof of the stage will be between 65 and 70 feet tall. And a couple thousand different workers will have been involved by the time it is completed.
