An investigation got underway overnight in Clarksville after a 20-year-old man was injured in a shooting.
The shooting happened around 1:30 a.m. Thursday near Tiny Town Road and Allen Road, north of Clarksville.
According to Clarksville police, officers were called to the scene after the fact. The victim was shot multiple times, and went to a friend's house in Oak Grove, where police were called.
The friend took the victim to Tennova Medical Center. He was transferred to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he is conscious and stable.
Police said details were still limited but preliminary information indicates that there is no danger to the public.
The investigation closed down roads nearby as officers said they were looking for shell casings that were related to the shooting.
