While plenty of fans were out enjoying the free music at CMA Fest on Thursday, fans of Chris Janson escaped the heat for the Grand Ole Opry member's fan club party, or "friend" party as he puts it.
The party was held at the Wildhorse Saloon, and Janson said it's a great chance to connect with his fans who have supported him throughout his career.

“I get a chance to actually have conversations and hear these stories and actually talk with people and just make it a little bit more than 'hey, let’s get a picture, let’s snap a selife and let me give you an autograph,'" Janson said. "It’s real, and that’s what I thrive on. It’s the reason I write songs, the reason I sing songs, the reason I ever got into this business anyway is because I was one of them.”
Janson has recently celebrated a #1 for his song "Fix a Drink" and has come a long way since his time playing the Honky Tonks, and he's happy to give his appreciation back to fans, especially when all of the fans are in town at the same time for CMA Fest.
