NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — More than 20 people have been infected with E. coli in Tennessee.
The Centers for Disease Control are investigating what it's originating from, but have not identified a specific food item, grocery store or restaurant chain.
A total of 72 confirmed cases have been reported across five states. Kentucky and Tennessee top the list with 36 and 21 respectively.
Georgia has reported eight, Ohio five and Virginia two.
Eight people have been hospitalized, and no one has died.
