Governor Bill Haslam announced hundreds of new jobs coming to Ashland City.
Caymas Boats, a boat manufacturer, plans to start building a new line of boats there. Production will begin in 2019, and the company plans to hire 280 people over the next five years.
However, Caymas hopes the overall job impact will be even greater.
Two buildings will be renovated to house the company's operations on Highway 12 in Ashland City.
