Nashville International Airport officials are warning Thanksgiving travelers to prepare for busy travel days ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday.
Wednesday morning, security checkpoint lines were lengthy as early at 3:30a.m. when NewsChannel 5 crews arrived to the airport.
Woah. Line out the door @Fly_Nashville. Never seen this. Remember there are two security entrances (tip: right side is almost always shorter.) #ThanksgivingTravel@nc5pic.twitter.com/YdwfsRCgQd

Airport officials said a good rule of thumb is for travelers to arrive an hour earlier than you would on a normal travel day.
The Nashville International Airport is planning some extra entertainment for those of you who have time to spare. There will be extended live entertainment from 8:30a.m. to 5:30p.m. at various locations in the airport on Wednesday. A puppet theater will also be putting on a performance of A Frog Prince at 9:00a.m. Wednesday.
