NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- A Donelson man has still been trying to clean up after a brazen burglary late last week.
The victim, Chuck Knight, said the burglar kicked open his front door to get in, before ransacking the place.
Knight said the thief took electronics, a laptop, gaming systems, and even a jar of loose change.
Police said the best thing neighbors across Nashville can do to prevent these kinds of burglaries is form a neighborhood watch.
The online Facebook group Hip Donelson said it's working hard to establish more watch groups in their neighborhoods, including now one where Chuck lives.
“There are several neighbors who said in responding to my Hip Donelson post that they would love to have that in place,” Knight said.
There have been several burglaries reported in the Donelson area over the past week, but police said they do not have many descriptions to go on. In one case they're looking for a black box moving-type truck with Florida plates.
If you know anything about the burglaries, you've been urged to call Metro Crime Stoppers at 615-74- CRIME (615-742-7463).
