NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A hairstylist, who could not work during Nashville's COVID-19 shutdown, decided to create a luxury picnic service.

"I still get to decorate and style something so I still feel like I'm doing my field of work," Whitney Tipton said.

Tipton's business is called Exquisnics. Her upscale picnics include a charcuterie board, fresh fruit, a tent, fan, Bluetooth speaker, Polaroid camera, cold drinks and utensils. She also takes requests.

"I stick around just in case, [to make sure] everything is good. And anything you need I'm just a phone call or text away," Tipton said.

The hairstylist is able to work now that the city has loosened restrictions, but said this second business is exciting because she can give people a responsible activity to do with a small group.

"I personally have been itching to be out, but with COVID-19 and everything I want to be safe. I feel like I'm able to give people an experience that they're enjoying," Tipton said.

Tipton's picnics are weather-dependent. She asks for 24-72 hours notice.

Exquisnics packages start at $200 for two people for a two hour picnic. More information is available here.
