MANCHESTER, Tenn. (WTVF) — This year's Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival has been canceled amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
"Our annual time together on the Farm is nothing short of magical, but out of an abundance of caution and for the health and safety of all Bonnaroovians, artists, staff, partners and our community, this is a necessary reality," festival officials said in a statement on Thursday.
In February, tickets for Bonnaroo's 2020 event, which was first scheduled for June 11 through 14, sold out at the earliest point ever in the festival's 19-year history.
The festival was later postponed for September 24 through 27 before festival officials announced the cancellation on Thursday.
Headliners for this year's festival included Tame Impala, Lizzo and Tool.
Next year's festival has been scheduled for June 17 through 20.
