NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A woman's body was discovered in Madison on Monday morning.
Metro police said the body was found off the roadway in the 1000 block of Gibson Drive at 11 a.m. by a passing motorist. The body was later identified through fingerprints as 32-year-old Tabitha Ryals, who police say came to Nashville within the past few months from Mississippi.
Detectives believe her body was recently placed there, saying it appears she died somewhere else before her body was left off the roadway sometime between the weekend and Monday morning.
The cause of death is unknown at this time until an autopsy can be performed.
Anyone who saw Ryals over the weekend is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.
