Ten years later, the founder and organizers of the International Black Film Festival said it hasn't been an easy journey but it's been worth it.

The festival kicked off it's 10th and possibly it's biggest year yet this week.

Founder, Hazel Joyner Smith helped bring famous, Hollywood director David Talbert to Tennessee State University Friday for a question and answer session with students.

Joiner-Smith was especially proud of Meharry-centered movie "Service to Man" this year. Its based on a true story of two medical students.
