Family and friends came together to remember two people murdered outside an East Nashville bar.

A benefit concert was held Saturday night in honor of Brandon Teal and Jaime Sarrantonio at The Cobra.

The event came one month after the two were shot and killed during an attempted robbery in the parking lot.

Those who knew them best are still heartbroken and said it’s important to celebrate their lives.

“It still all feels surreal,” said Lindsey Perez, Teal's girlfriend. “I feel like he should be here performing with his band. It’s definitely bittersweet.”

Donations collected Saturday night will go to Notes for Notes, one of Brandon and Jamie's favorite non-profit organizations.

There are also plans to place a memorial tree and bench in Dragon Park in their honor.
