‘Armed & dangerous' suspects sought in La Vergne carjacking

Police have asked the public’s help in locating three suspects in connection with a carjacking in La Vergne. 

The incident happened around 11:50 a.m. Sunday in a Walmart parking lot of Murfreesboro Road. 

Police said a man approached the victim and demanded her purse and keys at gunpoint. He and a woman got into the powder blue Jeep Patriot and fled the scene. 

Another male suspect got into a red Ford Fusion and followed them. 

The suspect’s vehicle is a four-door sedan with a broken and dangling passenger side mirror and a broken passenger side tail light. The vehicle also has a sunroof. Police said the tag information is not known.

Police said the stolen SUV has a Tennessee tag "M10-###." There’s a decal on the rear window displaying “USA BMX.”

The suspects are considered to be armed and dangerous.
