NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — An AMBER Alert was canceled after a Kentucky teenager, who was missing for several days was found safe.

According to the alert, 16-year-old Lauryn Sizemore was last seen inside her bedroom in Dawson Springs, Ky. on Saturday morning. Dawson Springs is about 30 miles northwest of Hopkinsville.

Investigators believe Lauryn may have been with her step-grandfather, 55-year-old Glenn Harper. He drives a 2004, maroon Hyundai Sonata with a temporary Kentucky license plate number of 9555994.

The alert states Harper had told friends he was going to Texas. It's unclear whether investigators believe Sizemore could be in any danger.

Lauryn Sizemore was found safe in Southern Alabama. The announcement was made at a vigil for Lauryn.

Her step-grandfather, Glenn Harper, was taken into custody.
