NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A potent cold front will howl through Middle Tennessee Tuesday night.
The wind will steadily increase tonight with sustained speeds of 20-30 mph out of the south. Wind gusts will be even higher, with 40-50 mph wind gusts expected. Take note of any holiday inflatables in your neighborhood Tuesday night, because they may not be where they were left by Wednesday morning.
The cold front will come through during the overnight hours. Between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. scattered storms along the cold front will bring even stronger winds to the area. Rain should be over by mid-morning Wednesday with much cooler air filtering in throughout the day.
A few isolated showers are possible Thanksgiving and Black Friday, but neither day will be a wash-out.
Looking ahead to the weekend, another windy system looks to blow through Saturday.
