A Murfreesboro staple is closing its doors due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
After 120 years in business, City Cafe has announced that Saturday will be its last day of operation.
“We tried so hard to push through and we just can’t continue our journey. We appreciate and love every single one of you who have made an impact and supported us for all of these years. Please come out and support us for our last few days,” their Facebook post read in part.
The restaurant has set up a Go Fund Me to help its employees while they look for another job. They’re also accepting donations via Venmo to @chrissydenton.
Just this past February, the restaurant celebrated its 120-year milestone.
