For children who have lost a parent, the holiday season can be difficult but one Middle Tennessee non-profit wants to make sure kids of fallen service members have a reason to smile on Christmas.
Tonight, A Soldier's Child Foundation, hosted a Christmas party for these children to give them a bit more holiday cheer.
There party provided multiple activities for the children to participate in like cookie decorating, various games and pictures with Santa
But in the end the event was all about the kids.
Organizers of the event said it's important to remind these children, who have lost a military parent, that they aren't alone especially during the holidays.
The children present also got to take home quite a haul of toys from the party as well.
This is first time A Soldier's Child Foundation has put on this Christmas drive but the group has hosted birthday parties for children of fallen service members as well in the past.
