Nine people have been displaced after fire broke out at an apartment complex in North Nashville.
The incident happened early Monday morning at a public housing complex on 25th Avenue North.
Officials with the Nashville Fire Department said the blaze began in the kitchen.
One woman was taken to an area hospital after injuring her ankle while trying to escape.
The extent of the damage was not yet known.
