NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The search is underway in south Nashville for at least six suspects who allegedly crashed a stolen car before fleeing from police.
The incident began around 8 p.m. Sunday, when a group of suspects stole a man’s car from his driveway on Scotwood Drive.
A short time later, Metro police officers spotted the car, which was carrying between five to seven people. They tried to speed away from police, however, didn't get too far.
One suspect crashed the car and the group tried to flee the scene on foot.
Officers were able to quickly arrest two of them but there are several still on the run as of Monday morning.
NewsChannel 5 has learned that this group of suspects could be linked to as many as six other car thefts in the area.
A description of the suspects was not immediately known.
Anyone with information was asked to call Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
