MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WTVF) — Murfreesboro police said a Yorkshire Terrier, that was stolen from a Murfreesboro pet store, has been found safe.

Detectives said Wednesday that they received a tip that the stolen dog may have been at a home in Antioch. With the help of Metro Police, the Yorkie was recovered this morning.

The puppy has since been returned to the pet store. Police said charges against the suspect are pending.

Police said the female Terrier, valued at $5,900, was stolen on December 12 from the Petland store on North Thompson Lane. According to investigators, the suspect asked to hold the dog, and when the employee turned to help another customer, she ran out of the business with the dog.

The theft was captured on surveillance video.
