PADUCAH, Ky. (WTVF/CNN) — A State of Emergency remains in effect for multiple counties after a tornado was spotted in Paducah, Kentucky.
A preliminary report shows EF 2 damage in McCracken County. The tornado impacted about five square miles, including a preschool.
About 40 students were there at the time, but no one was hurt.
The twister destroyed at least three homes and damaged another half-dozen. The American Red Cross opened a shelter for families in need.
Kentucky State Police troopers said only one person got hurt during the storm.
