NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Families enjoyed a fun time at the 3rd Annual Ride 2 Thrive event.

Saturday afternoon they were treated to free food, face painting, and door prizes in addition to a motorcycle and corvette showcase at Cumberland Park.

It was more than just fun and games, the event also provided free health screenings and resources to community members.

Local sponsors like the National Black Police Association said their main reason for participating was to make sure Nashville's children are happy and healthy.

"We get in the dunking booth, we get out and dance, we do the whole thing because we're just supporting the kids," said Reggie Miller of the NBPA.

This year the NBPA worked alongside Metro Social Services and the Tennessee Bikers Education Association to put on the event.
