Colorful costumes and dancing were highlights of the Mt. Juliet Pow Wow. It was the 37th annual gathering this weekend, attracting fans and participants from all across the United States and Canada.
At the event on Saturday, organizers said the dancers represented more than 50 tribes and their cultures.
The top dancers and singers win thousands of dollars in prize money, and it's a fun event for the kids, too. There’s food, art and crafts, and storytelling.
The Pow Wow has been scheduled to resume Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Mundy Memorial Park.
