GLASGOW, Ky. – A 25-year-old Kentucky man has officially been charged with murder in the death of a 2-year-old, who was found dead in a well in May.
Anthony Babour was indicted Friday with the murder of Laynee Wallace.
Kentucky State Police said Barbour, of Summer Shade, was indicted on charges of murder, tampering with physical evidence and abuse of a corpse.
He was already being held in the Barren County jail on other charges.
On May 25, the body of the toddler was found in a well nearly a week after she disappeared. Kentucky State Police immediately arrested Barbour in connection to the child’s death, but he was not charged with anything until late Friday.
Barbour is the boyfriend of Laynee's mother but police have not release specific details surrounding the toddler's death.
It's unclear when Barbour would be in court to be arraigned on these charges. Just a few weeks ago, he pleaded not guilty to kidnapping on a separate case.
