NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Over 25,000 Tennesseans filed unemployment claims last week.
According to the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development, 25,843 new claims were filed for the week ending July 4. The week prior saw an increase of 22,256 claims.
With last week's new claims, the total unemployment claims that continue with weekly certifications is 256,645.
The Department of Labor offered the following data in its weekly unemployment update.
