Two injured in shooting, stabbing in Murfreesboro

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WTVF) — Two people were taken to an area hospital after a stabbing and shooting in Murfreesboro.

The incident happened around 11:30 p.m. Thursday on Crystal Bear Trail.

Murfreesboro police said they were responding to a domestic situation.

When they arrived, they found 45-year-old Chelley C. Olson had been stabbed and 49-year-old Cory Thompson, had been shot.

According to officials, Thompson is in critical condition at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Olson was transported to Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital where she was treated and later released.

Police said the two individuals knew each other and there is no danger to the public.
