Two suspected drug dealers have been arrested and placed behind bars in Putnam County.
Authorities said a deputy conducted a traffic stop Thursday on a 2013 Dodge Challenger that ran a stop sign. The vehicle was stopped near the intersection of Highway 56 and Buffalo Valley Road.
The deputy completed a search of the vehicle with K-9 Banjo. Authorities said they found more than two pounds of marijuana in the trunk.
Both 19-year-old Oscar Gutierrez and 18-year-old Antonio Lanham were arrested for felony possession of marijuana for resale. Officials confirmed they seized the vehicle.
Gutierrez and Lanham were both charged with manufacture/delivery/sell of a controlled substance. Bond for each was set at $5,000.
