(WTVF) — Get ready for a very wet start to your weekend. 2"-4" of rain is expected to fall from Friday afternoon through Sunday morning with the bulk of it falling Friday night through lunchtime on Saturday.
Clouds will steadily increase Thursday night out of the South eventually bringing rain to our Southern counties first then spreading North across the entire area. A few rumbles of thunder are possible, but widespread thunderstorms are not expected. Instead, it will be a steady rain with heavier pockets embedded within.
Skies are expected to dry off by Sunday afternoon with dry conditions through Tuesday morning.
Don't put the rain gear too far away though, some additional showers (and colder temps) look to sneak in next Wednesday and Thursday so you may have some cold damp candy come next Thursday.
