14-Year-Old Arrested In Killing Of Nashville Teen

A 14-year-old has been arrested in connection with the killing of a teenage boy in the Nashboro Village area of Nashville.

The incident happened Tuesday around 6:30 p.m. outside of a home in the 100 block of Nashboro Greens.

Officials with Metro Nashville police said officers found 14-year-old Geovany Hernandez down in the street and worked to keep him alive until the ambulance arrived. He later died at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Early Wednesday morning, police said they arrested 14-year-old Amarion Johnson at his home on Long Hunter Court. He will be charged with criminal homicide and is being booked into the Juvenile Detention Center.

Investigators have not released a motive in the killing. The investigation remained ongoing.
