TULLAHOMA, Tenn. – A 12-year-old has been injured in an accidental shooting according to police.

The incident happened around 5:30 p.m. Friday when the young male was accidentally shot with a hunting rifle.

Officials said the victim was taken to Harton Regional Medical center by his parents before being taken by LifeFlight to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Authorities said the 12-year-old was responsive, but his condition was unknown.
