A search got underway early Tuesday morning after a carjacking suspect ditched a stolen car, causing it to collide with other vehicles involved in an earlier crash.
Metro Nashville Police officers were investigating after a man driving a truck unintentionally crashed into five parked cars on West Grove Avenue.
Police said during that crash investigation, an empty white sedan rolled into the crash scene, hitting more parked cars.

Police said the sedan had been stolen earlier Monday night during an armed carjacking on 15th Avenue South.
A women was allegedly held up at gunpoint and the suspect took off in the stolen car.
Officers think the suspect got spooked after seeing all of the police presence investigating the truck crash on West Grove Avenue, and said the person jumped out of the car, sending it rolling down the hill.
Resident Lee Moneta-Koehler had two cars damaged in the initial crash.
“Another car came down the street. It was driverless and going really fast and smacked into another couple cars at the bottom of the hill,” he said.
No one was hurt in the incident. The carjacking suspect is on the fun from police.
