1 killed in SUV, Greyhound bus collision in Kentucky

BONNIEVILLE, Ky. (WTVF) — One person has died after an SUV and a Greyhound bus collided in Hart County, Kentucky.

The incident happened Thursday morning on Interstate 65 southbound near Bonnieville.

Kentucky State Police confirmed one person in the SUV was killed. The driver of the bus was critically hurt.

Thirty-seven passengers were on the bus at the time – 29 of those did not need medical attention. KSP said the remaining injuries appear to be non-life threatening.

The transportation cabinet set up a detour at mile marker 71. They are diverting traffic onto U.S. 31 West, where drivers will re-enter the interstate at the 65 mm in Munfordville.

Southbound lanes of I-65 could be closed for two to three more hours.
