1 Killed In I-65 Crash In Bowling Green, Kentucky

A Louisville man was killed in a crash on Interstate 65 in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

The crash happened just after 11 a.m. Sunday in the northbound lanes near mile marker 19, just before the exit for Natcher Parkway.

Authorities said 74-year-old Charles D. Elzy, of Louisville, was driving a 2018 Hyundai Tucson north when he left the road and hit a disabled commercial vehicle that was parked in the emergency lane.

Elzy was taken to the Medical Center in Bowling Green where he passed away.

The driver of the commercial vehicle, identified as 48-year-old Robert W. Humphrey, of Johnson City, Tennessee, was not injured.

The investigation remained ongoing by the Kentucky State Police.
