1 Killed, 1 Injured In East Nashville Shooting

A man was found shot in the head in East Nashville, and another man was injured. Police said they believe the two men were shooting at each other.

Officers were called to the 500 block of South 6th Street at 11:15 p.m. Saturday. They found a man, later identified as 23-year-old Anthony London, in a parking lot with a gunshot wound to the head. He was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

A few minutes later, officers found another man, identified as 22-year-old Treshon Patton, with a gunshot wound to his stomach lying in the grass in the 600 block of Shelby Avenue. He was taken to Vanderbilt in critical condition.

Officers said they believe the two were shooting at each other, and they added it's believed the shooting happened in the parking lot were London was found.

Reports stated the motive for the shooting had not yet been determined.
