1 injured in Nashville house fire

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A woman was critically injured in a house fire in Nashville Monday.

The fire broke out in a home on the 2300 block of Alameda Street in Nashville.

Fire officials say the fire started on one side of a duplex, but firefighters were able to put out the flames before they spread to the other side of the building.

The victim was rushed to Vanderbilt University Medical center. Fire officials say the woman suffered burns to her upper torso.

Officials said a total of four people were affected by the fire and the damage it caused. The neighbor was able to get out of the home safely.
