1 dead, 2 injured in car crash on Dickerson Pike

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — One person is dead and two people are injured after a car crash on Dickerson Pike and Old Hickory Boulevard early Saturday morning.

Police attempted to stop a 2020 Dodge Charger after the vehicle was seen doing a donut in the middle of Dickerson Pike.

The Charger fled the scene and struck a Mazda 3 at the intersection of Old Hickory Boulevard.

The driver of the Mazda 3, Kimberly Benezue, 26, died at the scene. Her 22-year-old passenger was transported from the scene to Skyline Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police report that the occupants of the Charger fled the scene. The vehicle was reported stolen from North Nashville hours before the crash took place.
