One person has been taken into custody after a head-on crash that sent five people to the hospital.
The wreck happened sometime between midnight and 12:30 a.m. Sunday on Davis Avenue near Litton Avenue in East Nashville.
Two cars crashed head-on. The driver of a silver Dodge Charger was arrested.
Three of the five people taken to the hospital were kids.
“It sounded like a rollercoaster ride, like screech and boom,” said Cameche Patton. “Thought it was gunshots at first, so we ran inside. Then came out here and saw the head-on collision.”
No word had been released on what caused the crash, but drug and alcohol tests were being conducted.
