It’s a little barn in East Nashville called "The Sweet Bean" and it’s my next Music City Must! It’s owned by husband-wife music duo, Dave and Julia, who are full of “sweetness!” Their home is located across the street from two of Nashville’s most popular restaurants, The Pharmacy and Mas Tacos, so they saw an opportunity. With so many people waiting in line to eat each night, they decided to turn their backyard barn (a historic turn-of-the-century carriage house) into one amazing sweet spot!
They have it all from hot chocolate, fresh to order coffee, frozen treats, and a variety of candy that will surly send you on a sugar rush. It’s all wonderful, but what caught my eye, was the chance to spin my very own cotton candy! They actually let you do this yourself!
It’s a simple, fun memory you can make with your family and friends. They give you the paper cotton candy “wand” and then pour your choice of flavored sugar into the machine. After that, it’s your chance to spin. It’s completely DIY, with plenty of leftovers!
