Shoppers looking to save the most money this holiday season may want to stop by Macy’s on Black Friday. According to WalletHub, they’ll be offering the biggest discounts across the board a week from Friday.
WalletHub surveyed 8,000 deals from 35 of the biggest retailers’ Black Friday ads and calculated the average discount each retailer plans to offer. After re-weighting the discounts to give more credit to retailers marking down higher-ticket items, it was determined that Macy’s is offering an average percentage discount of 63.4 percent.
Stage and JCPenney will also be offering significant discounts on Black Friday, at an average of 62.8 percent.
According to WalletHub, Macy’s is offering their biggest discounts in consumer packaged goods (average savings of 58.35 percent) and “other product categories (67.96 percent).” JCPenney is offering an average saving of 60.71 percent in apparel and accessories, and 49 percent in computers and phones.
