Black Friday and Cyber Monday shopping lists usually include electronics, toys or clothing, but airlines are also getting shoppers' attention through the Thanksgiving holiday weekend with deals on flights.

What some U.S.-based air carriers are offering:

Alaska Airlines

Delta Airlines

Allegiant Air
-- Flight deals for Allegiant can be found here.

Southwest Airlines

-- The Iceland-based airline's "Purple Friday deals" include $130 one-way trips from Los Angeles to London, Amsterdam, Brussels or Dublin. Trips must be booked for use between December and May.

-- Website requires users to sign up to be an "email insider" to access the Black Friday and Cyber Monday sale (which is going on now).

Customers are reminded to read all fine print, especially when it comes to which days or months are restricted by the sale offer. Also, don't forget to take into account extra fees some airlines may charge, such as costs for checking in bags.

If you miss out on some Black Friday and/or Cyber Monday airfare deals, there's always Nov. 28.

According to Business Insider, "Travel Deal Tuesday" on Nov. 28 will best time to shop for flights, with some carriers expected to offer as much as 40% off round-trip airfare to numerous destinations around the world.
