Amanda is an award-winning journalist with a passion for people and is excited to return home to Middle Tennessee. She joined the News Channel 5 Team November 2024.
Amanda graduated from Brentwood High School and was an avid member of the marching band before graduating from Boston University with a degree in Communication, Film & TV and a minor in Spanish. She had a blast interning for the Boston Red Sox and WHDH-TV where she first learned the inner workings of a newsroom.
Her journalism career has taken her to stations in Kentucky and New Orleans before landing back in Middle Tennessee. She's earned several Associated Press accolades, a regional Edward R. Murrow award and regional Emmy.
Amanda is always planning her next trip to see friends and family who are spread across the country. It’s a bonus when her rescue beagle, Sammy can come along for the ride. She’s always looking for a good meal or a drink, practicing flute or catching up on a new book, show or movie.
