Adam Ghassemi joined the NewsChannel 5 Network in May 2011.
Adam is a Memphis native and comes to NC5 from KATU-TV in Portland, Ore. He also previously worked in Mobile, Ala. and Duluth, Minn.
At Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, Adam earned degrees in Broadcast News and Information Systems. While in Des Moines, Adam worked for WHO Radio as a weekend anchor/reporter. Adam also interned for WHO Radio, WREG-TV in Memphis and ABC Network News.
Adam has multiple regional awards from the Oregon Associated Press, Northwest Broadcast News Association and the Iowa Broadcast News Association as well as national awards from the Society of Professional Journalists and the Radio-Television News Directors Association.
During his time off, Adam enjoys exploring everything Nashville has to offer with his wife, Crystal, their son, Carson, and dog, Kahlua.
