Chris Davis returned home to NewsChannel 5 in January 2020, this time as a reporter. Chris grew up watching NewsChannel 5, interned at the station in college and started his broadcast career here as a producer and assignment editor.
He previously worked as a reporter in Huntsville, Alabama, and St. Louis, Missouri.
Journalism has afforded Chris some incredible opportunities, from stories on an aircraft carrier in the middle of the ocean to the College Football National Championship and Stanley Cup Finals. His favorite stories involve unsung heroes in our community and celebrating veterans who have served our country. He keeps his eye on the Tennessee legislature while they’re in session, too.
Chris is a proud Clarksville native and Middle Tennessee State University graduate. When he isn’t covering politics or traveling around the mid-state, you can probably find Chris exploring a new hiking trail with his wife and rambunctious rescue dog, paddling his kayak down the river, rooting for the Titans, Preds and Vols or fishing with his Dad.
