HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. (WTVF) — A woman and child were killed in a Hopkinsville, Kentucky, house fire Saturday night.
Fire crews responded to the house on North McPherson Avenue just after 10:30. They reported heavy smoke and flames at the scene.
Officials say the bodies of Martha Anne Harris, 87, and Alvin Davidson, 10, were found inside.
The cause of the fire is still unknown.
Davidson was a third-grader at Freedom Elementary School.
The school said they will have extra staff and a crisis team on Monday to assist with grieving students and staff.
