A U.S. Army Veteran got a chance at a new start thanks to an organization that gave him a car.

Ronald Dahl served from 1982 to 1986. When he lost a job in Maine, he moved to Nashville, but couldn't find housing or a job, and lived in his U-Haul.

Since then, he's found a temporary job, but without a car, he's had a lot of trouble getting on his feet. He says the car will help with that, and just handling everyday tasks.

Recycled Rides, an organization that provides cars to people in need, worked with insurance agencies and repair shops to donate the car. Since it launched in 2007, its donated 1,700 cars valued at more than $22 million.
