Two women were arrested on theft charges at the CoolSprings Galleria Mall.
Franklin Police officers arrested 21-year-old Tiana Anderson and 21-year-old Ja Quan Nichols Tuesday afternoon.
Officers said they went into a Belk dressing room to hide several items of clothing in their purses.
When they approached the women, both ran from police. After a short chase, both women were arrested and the items were recovered.
Officers said the stole nearly $1,000 of merchandise.
Anderson and Nichols were charged with Felony Theft. Anderson was freed on a $5,000 bond. Nichols remained in jail on a $3,500 bond. Both suspects court date was set for April 28 at 1 p.m.
